This policy defines the standards for product content published by FurryAdvisor.

Editorial authorship

Public articles use the organizational byline FurryAdvisor Editorial Team. This byline identifies the publication responsible for the page. It must not be used to imply personal ownership, first-hand use, professional qualifications, or hands-on testing that the page does not document.

Research method

The default standard for new and materially updated pages is research-based analysis supported by exact model or ASIN identifiers, manufacturer documentation, manuals, specifications, compatibility information, and clearly attributed independent or standards-based sources when available.

Product identity and source checks

Product name, model, identifiers, specifications, imagery, article copy, and outbound destination must describe the same item. Missing, stale, low-confidence, or conflicting facts should stop publication or trigger a correction rather than be guessed. Prices, availability, merchant ratings, and customer-review counts must not be presented as the publication’s own editorial evidence.

Hands-on and expert claims

A page may be described as hands-on only when it identifies the tester, test date, method, sample, and resulting evidence. Expert-reviewed language may be used only when the reviewer and relevant qualification are disclosed.

Scores and recommendations

A numeric editorial score must not be published unless its criteria, evidence, and calculation are visible and reproducible. A recommendation should state who a product may suit, who should avoid it, and the limitations of the available evidence.

Images

Media must be original, authorized, or clearly illustrative. Illustrative imagery must not be presented as an exact representation of a model, color, port layout, accessory, or package contents.

FurryAdvisor is not a veterinary clinic and its content is not veterinary advice. Safety-critical medical, treatment, medication, supplement, nutrition, poisoning, first-aid, or behavioral-health claims require qualified sources and are not ordinary product-review material.

Commercial independence

Affiliate commissions may support the site but do not change the price paid by a reader. Commercial relationships do not justify changing product identity, hiding limitations, or making unsupported claims. See the Affiliate Disclosure.

Updates and corrections

A page should be corrected, clarified, consolidated, redirected, or withdrawn when product records, compatibility, sources, or other material facts change. See the Corrections Policy.
